The over-choosy guy

I usually keep myself from going out shopping when somebody else wants to buy. It depends actually. My sister would roam around the whole day, visit each and every shop in the area and can never feel completely content with whatever she has bought! Yet I love her! But my cousin sister is different. She goes into a shop only when she is sure that she wants to buy there. I love her too!
Me? Most of my shopping happens without any plan. Especially the clothes. Most of the guys are like that. They won't spend too much time choosing.
That was my perception until I went out shopping with my colleague today. He wanted to buy a blazer for his bro's wedding. Another guy joined us. This Mr.Another talked like he knew better than those showroom people, and ended up being over-choosy for his friend..thereby wasting my time and that lil' energy that was left over 'after-office'. I pity his parents man! He would take ages to choose a girl if he takes this long for choosing a dress for his friend!
Yeah, dinner with T..had chicken Biryani!
Ok now, I've written keeping my 'about-to-fall-on-the-table' sleep on the edge.. see you!

Its the same everywhere!

Whenever we plan to meet up friends or anyone else, we turn-up late mostly thinking that we'd be early and may have to wait for the other. So, if we had planned to meet up at 'sharp' 6pm :P, that means we will leave our houses by 6pm or worse, leave at 6:30. This has come attached to everyone. Atleast among the people who surround me.

There was a technical webinar yesterday (seminar on the web, live) that I had signed up to attend. It was said to start at sharp 5pm. Atleast that's what the website said. So I made arrangements in my office itself.

The webinar was conducted by a lady who was a CEO in some software firm in Delhi.
I logged in at 4:55pm thinking it is better to be early than arrive late and I didn't want to miss it.
Atleast for being a CEO she should have logged in at the correct time. She had quite some people waiting there. Waited and waited and I was about to leave. She suddenly comes live at 5:35pm..that was like more than half an hour delay. And worst thing, she didn't even apologize or mention anything about the delay. So I presume this thing prevails everywhere in all forms and walks!! Can we ever get over it?

flickr'ed'

Hey! So I finally got my DSLR on June 11. I zeroed in on D3100 from my list of 8 other DSLRs, found a deal  that suited my budget right now, so I purchased it! and i won't regret the decision..it is a great cam to have. I'm loving every bit o' it!
I initially had plans of merging my photo-blog with this blog, but the idea faded away so I set up a separate blog for posting my photos. I also set-up a flickr account and the link to that is provided in my photo-blog itself.

I wanted to customize the way my photo-blog looks, but due to shortage of time, I've already started posting using a default template. I'll organize it as and when I find time. None of my images are edited right now.
Have a look.. www.eye-third.blogspot.com
...and my photo-blog extends a special welcome to all my blog readers :)

to wait or not to wait

I have been wanting a DSLR camera from a long time. Photography inspires me, opens my eyes. I believe I have a third eye for photography. I love writing. I love photography. I love travel. *typical Sagittarian you can say*

Now that I'm working, I've decided to buy a DSLR from my own money. I need to wait for another month to get one because the money I have now isn't sufficient to get the one I want. I need to wait. But this wait for one month seems to supersede the wait for all these years. Suddenly I feel like borrowing money or doing something about it. My point is I've waited all these years, can't I control myself for another month? I need to have self-control!!
A photo-blog is on its way :)

Mangifera!!!!

The lights turned Red. Though we don't always respect the traffic signals stringently in our Country, we do respect them during the daytime in order to keep ourselves from paying up a fine. So I had to stop and I did.

Next to me stopped a car and a I could see a small boy seated inside. The boy was pointing to a Mango which was right above our head. Yeah, it's mango season now in India, so it's raining mangoes everywhere. He was trying to call the mango as though the mango would drop down to his hand at any moment looking at his tenderness.

I had just purchased some mangoes after visiting my friend and I was headed home on my two wheeler. As I saw the boy calling out at the mango from his window, it suddenly struck to me that I had mangoes with me and that I could give one to the boy as he was yearning for one. The lights turned green. I didn't hesitate. I called out to the boy, and the car was stopped just after crossing the signal. I took out a mango, and gave it to him. He was overjoyed, so inexpressibly happy that only he could feel and I could see. He reached out his hand trying to hug me, though I was just able to shake his hands, he had just made my day! His parents looked on, smiling :) Small things bring so much happiness. Children are the best. They can lighten up your day like a spark!

This is non-fictional story as narrated by my Uncle (Happened to him 2 days back). I was moved. I've done my part by adding some (not too much!) masala to it to make it sound more appealing! And the best part is he doesn't remember which car the boy was in :)
